About the chief Tired Girl
Omg hello! My name is Louise and I am the brains behind TGA. You can usually find me at my desk coming up with silly little designs, or in the office making said silly little designs. When I'm not working I'm usually either napping, reading or playing video games.

TGA is born 👶🏻
Tired Girl Apparel started on my bedroom floor in April of 2022. Originally started as a side-hustle while I worked a regular 9-5 job, I could never have imagined what it would become. I bought my first embroidery machine from Facebook Marketplace for £600 and taught myself everything.

We went VIRAL
I posted a silly little TikTok one night and didn't think anything of it, and then woke up to 30k+ new followers and huge interested in my designs. When I released the My Head Hurts sweatshirt, I made my annual salary from my big girl job in three days and I made the decision to quit said job and be fully self employed.

We went viral AGAIN
Another incredibly viral TikTok meant that we saw a crazy number of sales in a short space of time, causing me to panic (lol) and start working with an external family-run embroidery studio in Glasgow to help me manage the viral load. The "Don't Talk To Me" sweatshirt was even more popular than the "My Head Hurts" sweatshirt, which I didn't even think was possible - and she's still a best seller today.

Growing n glowing ✨
A lot of long days, all nighters, stressful moments and many breakdowns (both emotionally and machinery). This timeframe is a bit of a blur but it was a period of growth, learning from mistakes and figuring out what works while trying to keep up with orders 😅

Currently
Over the last year, TGA has exploded into a much bigger brand that I ever planned it to and this means making some changes with how we do things, but super EXCITING changes. We're working on outsourcing our USA orders so they're made in the USA, thus reducing costs and removing customs fees for our US customers. We're also working more with our partner embroidery studio in Glasgow to transition to orders being shipped within a few days rather than weeks.
Behind the scenes I'm also working on a children's range which has been HIGHLY requested, so keep your eyes peeled!
